The Scheme is known as Professional Protection Scheme. Gujarat State Branch, I.M.A. It works on the principle of mutual benefits Scheme.

The Scheme functions autonomously as an activity of Gujarat State Branch I.M.A. with its permanent head quater at Ahmedabad (The Head Quater of Gujarat State Branch I.M.A.) For all legal disputes between members and administration, the jurisdiction shall be restricted to the courts at Ahmedabad only.

Commencement of the Scheme
The Scheme has become effective from 1st April 1994.

Aims and Object of the Scheme
(a) To provide comprehensive indemnity cover in the event of litigant situations arising out of alleged professional negligence by the members during the discharge of their professional duties.

(b) To educate members to prevent any illigant situation and to guide them, to deal with such situations.

Eligibility of the Member
Any member of the Gujarat State Branch of I.M.A. is eligible to become the member of this Scheme.
